All Portraits

Pence Photography wants you to be yourself! I want to provide an enjoyable experience
and meet your goals at your photo shoot.

If you desire to have your photo shoot indoors, outdoors, by yourself, or in a group, you may
want some helpful tips:

If you want a dark background, stay with a black or burgundy outfit. For lighter backgrounds
and most outdoor settings, denims and whites usually show well.

For portraits, you want to wear long sleeves because bare arms can distract attention away
from your face. It would be a good idea to bring several outfits with the proper accessories
in order for you to have a variety of options to choose from! You want to avoid all the
attention on your jewelry, so it is better to wear minimal items that aren't large in size.
This way, the portrait is focused on you and not your accessories.

If you wear makeup, it is a good idea for you to dress first, cover yourself with a cape or
towel, and then applying the makeup you desire to wear for your portrait photo shoot. Just
in case, bring your make up with you for any touch ups during your photo shoot.

If you would like to fix your hair in different styles for different poses/backgrounds, bring any
combs, brushes, mousse, hair spray, and any other products you may need. If you tie your
hair back, use something small so it won't distract from your portrait.
